32Red Mobile Casino Launched
Many of you, especially footie fans, will be familiar with the name 32Red. They run a very popular and highly regarded online casino and poker room, and have now expanded the product range with the launch of the 32Red Mobile for mobile phones (unsurprisingly!).
The mobile phone casino industry is still in it’s infancy, but the software here - developed by Spin3 in association with Microgaming - is very good…I’d argue it’s the best out there. Sure games choice is a little limited right now but there are still some decent games: Blakjack, Roulette, Keno and some of the more popular video slots like Tombraider and the 6-figure progressive slots, Major Millions and Treasure Nile.
The good thing about this particular offering however, aside from being available on a very wide range of handsets, is the name behind it. 32Red (PLC) have Read the rest of this entry »

Tombraider Mobile Slot Review
One of the more recent additions to the Microgaming mobile casino games range available at both [Ladbrokes Mobile Casino] and Wild Jack Mobile Casino is a port of the excellent, and popular, Tombraider slot. The slot was first launched in late 2005 onto the PC download casino software at the above casinos, followed soon after by integration into the Flash no-download casino and quickly became very popular.
The slot itself is a 5-reel, 15-line “bonus” slot with two types of bonus round. The first is a “pick ‘em” style bonus where the player is required Read the rest of this entry »

Aces Royal Mobile Poker
Aces Royal is a UK based company offering a unique mobile poker product. Having tried this out (and admitting I’m not much of a poker player!) I noticed a few differences between playing on the PC poker products and Aces Royal’s mobile poker, but overall have to say I was pretty impressed.
The installation, setup and registration was fairly straightforward (UK users can fast-track the install by texting “ACES15″ to 85020 which will also load you up with a free £5) on my Nokia N80 although as with most mobile gambling products, you do need to use a Visa debit card or a credit card to sign up. This is the way the ID and verification process is done - quick and easy to be honest. Note that Maestro wasn’t accepted as I wrote this but will probably be in place by the time you do!
Before I get into the way the poker plays, it’s worth noting Read the rest of this entry »

Install Guide: Microgaming Mobile
This article takes you through the process of installing and getting ready to play on a Microgaming mobile casino. The example uses Wild Jack Mobile Casino but is also applicable to [32Red Mobile Casino] and the [Ladbrokes Mobile Casino], both of which also use Microgaming software. Please note that ID verification is done through the use of a Debit or Credit card so you will need one of these handy.
The process is pretty straight-forward, but I’d suggest you do it this way for minimum hassle. Read the rest of this entry »

Ladbrokes Mobile Casino Review
Ladbrokes teamed up with Spin3 to launch the first Microgaming mobile casino in 2006. The casino can be requested by SMS or via the Ladbrokes website and runs on most modern mobile phones (view full mobile phone compatibility list). The user first installs the “casino lobby” before choosing which games to download to the mobile phone so you only need install those games you want. The lobby, and each subsequent game, weigh in at an average of 250kb - comparitively small - and can be installed via GPRS, your PC or in my case using the Nokia N80’s wifi capability with my local network.
The range of games for the Ladbrokes Mobile Casino is ever growing and there are already some excellent choices for all types of player. Here’s the full list of games that you can currently download Read the rest of this entry »

Mobile Phones And Gambling
Welcome to Mobile Phones And Gambling. This blog is here to document progress in the relatively new field of gambling via mobile phones. While sports betting has been available on mobiles for some time, more recently we have started to see mobile poker and mobile casino games being developed.
One of the tricky areas of course is regulation. While sports punters will likely recognise a decent bookie, how does a potential player know that a mobile casino or poker room is safe to play and operated by a good company? That’s part of the purpose of this blog, to point out the good operators from the bad ones, while also analysing the different poker games, slots, casino games and other games released into the market.
I’d welcome comments (note these are pre-moderated) on any of the operators or games mentioned herein, so feel free to have your say. I am particularly interested in hearing of people’s experiences playing mobile games; which mobile phones work best, how you got on with GPRS, how does mobile poker compare with online poker…that type of thing.
